In Traffic Appreciation Day
Event Production & Community Activation
Project Overview
In Traffic Appreciation Day was a hybrid brand activation and public festival, created to celebrate five years of business while engaging customers, partners, and the wider community.
Held at Sydney Dragway, the event combined high-energy motorsport with a full festival environment, including roll racing on the track, a Show + Shine car competition, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activations.
The event was designed to operate across multiple audience types simultaneously — car enthusiasts, families, exhibitors, and general public attendees.
My Role
As part of the event production team, I contributed to the planning and delivery of a complex, multi-zone event, with a strong focus on site logistics, safety, and crowd movement.
The role required balancing high-risk activations with a seamless and enjoyable guest experience across the entire site.
What I Delivered
Supported the development of run sheets and show flow across multiple activations
Assisted in venue layout planning, staging, and site zoning
Coordinated suppliers, vendors, and activation installations
Managed crew operations and on-ground logistics
Contributed to risk planning for drag racing and vehicle-heavy environments
Supported load-in, live event execution, and load-out
Result
This project demonstrated the importance of operational planning in complex live environments, where safety, logistics, and audience experience must coexist.
Managing the interaction between vehicles, live audiences, and entertainment zones required careful planning of space, timing, and movement to ensure both safety and engagement.
